Colon Cancer Screening

Did you know that colon cancer is the third most common cancer and the second leading cause of cancer death in females and males? Did you also know that it is preventable?

Who should be screened for colon cancer?  To find out, answer the following questions:

  • Are you aged 50 or older?
  • Has a family member ever had colon cancer or a colon polyp?
  • Do you have inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's or Ulcerative colitis)?
  • Have you ever had a colon polyp or been diagnosed with colon cancer?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you should consider colon cancer screening.  Please contact our office to arrange an appointment to discuss this very important topic and options for screening.  Visit our open access link also.
